To h...Dear Merle, that is so sad about little Sam. To have gone through that horrible fire only to end up ill and not being able to be saved.

As for the sheep joke, let's face it, we're all adults. I thought it was pretty funny. I received one about a farmer who was going to lose his farm, because for several years his crops weren't paying off, so the banker said he would give him one more chance, no one ever seemed to go broke raising pigs. So he loaned him enough money to get five pigs. Banker also told the farmer his neighbor had a boar that could service the pigs. Like the sheep, if it took, the farmer would know, so he loaded the pigs into the truck and drove to his neighbor. Well finally after several times visiting the neighbor, the farmer couldn't stand to look out to see what the pigs were doing, so he told his wife to look, and she said, well, one is in the front seat trying to honk the horn and the others have loaded themselves into the back of the truck. Of course it was funnier than we telling it, because there was more to it, but this is all I can remember.

Mowed the yard this morning, it was so humid, I was dripping when I came into the cool house. Good thing I mowed, it poured down rain this afternoon. Of course it's cooled down some, but way to wet to have mowed this evening.

Tomorrow I go get my hair cut, SHORT, and Wed. Abe has a check up with his heart doctor and then we've been invited for a light lunch with some friends. Thursday will be grocery shopping time again and Friday I go back to see my family doctor to have my eye checked, he thought I had a sty, I think I had pink eye, and I also have to have a small physical before the eye surgery on the 27th. Then only one other appointment in Aug, to see my oncologist for my six month check-up. Oh yes, our Grandson has a birthday also in Aug., he'll be 17.

Then it will be Sept. before we know it, and that means our Winter is just around the corner. I don't know where this summer has gone.

Take care, loved the quotes. Sleep well. That is so sad about Sam, he was a cute little guy, only people caught in fires know what she went through, we can only guess. That was really a good one (Blue Cross) very funny. The sheep one made me lol. I don't think I would have enough nerve to call anyone and call them names.
