Frogs and a Positive Attitude.

Post 214 - - - - - - Sunday, 27th May, 2007.

Hi Everyone ~~ I hope all is well with you all and that you are
enjoying the weekend. It is almost over for Australia, but I hear it
is a long weekend in our Northern friends' countries. So have a
great day tomorrow folks.

Jacqui and Walter and I went to McDonalds for breakfast, as she
and I like the hot cakes and maple syrup once in a while, so that
was very nice and then we called in to an Aldi store and got a few
things we needed. They are leaving in the morning and they will
be heading off towards Western Australia where they live, They
have a few more people to visit and then fly out from Melbourne.

My next relatives arrive tomorrow afternoon, and we will have our
dinner and talk etc for a few hours, and then I am alone again.
Thankfully John arrived safely back from his trip and has taken
his dogs home again. Alone again !! Shopping day Tuesday.
These weeks just fly by.

Please pop in to Holtieshouse to wish Peter a Happy Birthday on
the Monday 28th May He will be 71, and I will be 73 and 4 days!!

A group of frogs was traveling through the woods, and two of
them fell into a deep pit.
All the other frogs gathered around the pit.

When they saw how deep it was, they told the two frogs that they
were as good as dead.

The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump out of the
pit with all their might.
The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good
as dead.

Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were
saying, gave up, fell down and died.
The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could.

Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the
pain and just die.
He jumped even harder and finally made it out.

When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?"
The frog said, "No, I'm deaf. I thought you were encouraging
me the entire time."

Mary Had A Little Lamb.

Mary had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went,
The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed her to school each day,
Twasn't even in the rule.
He made the children laugh and play,
To have a Lamb at school.

And the the rules all changed one day,
Illegal it became;
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak his Name.

Every day got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh,
We heard gun shots and tears.

What must we do to stop the crime,
That's in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school
And teach our kids to pray !!

The next joke I got from Christina. Thank you. You will
find her in my blog roll.

A redneck family from the hills was visiting the city and they
were in a mall for the first time in their lives. The father and
son were strolling around while the wife shopped.

They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but
especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and
then slide back together again.

The boy asked, " Paw, what's that?"

The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, I
dunno. I ain't never seen anything like that in my entire life,
and have no idea what it is."

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a
fat old lady in a wheel chair rolled up to the moving walls and
pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between
them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his
father watched the small circular numbers above the walls light
up sequentially.

They continued to watch until it reached the last number and
then the numbers began to light up in reverse order.

Then the walls opened again and a gorgeous, voluptuous 24 year
old blonde woman stepped out.

The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman, said
quietly to his son,
"Boy . . . . . . . . . . . . .go git cha Momma . . . . . . ..

Well, that is it for tonight folks, I had better be sociable.
May get back tomorrow night - - we shall see!!
Take care everyone, Love to you all, Cheers, Merle.

Good morning dear Merle...it's Sunday morning here and it's going to be a drab day, dark and raining. We need a good rain, though, so I don't mind:-) I love breakfast at McDonald's...I usually have their egg & bacon bagel sandwich:-) Yummmm! The lamb of God poem is so very true and to this day I still cannot believe they made it illegal to pray in the schools. That redneck elevator joke is just sooo funny! hehe Continue enjoying your company my friend!! xoxo

Sounds like a nice weekend for you, Merle. Hope your week is a great one.
Aren't the nights getting cold ??? I think Winter is really (almost) here, don't you. The forecast for the week is looking a bit cooler, too.
Take care, dear friend.

It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend.

Our 3 days are just wrapping up now. Elcie graduates from middle school on May 31st and school lets out the next day.

I wonder if Jacqui disappeared from my Bloglines. I'll have to check.
