Another Beginning.

Hello People ~~ How is the world treating you today?
Gently and kindly, I hope. All’s well at my place.
I found a nice poem called “Another Beginning.”

He came to my desk with quivering lip ---
The day was done.
“Have you a new book for me please, sir?
I have spoiled this one.”
I gave to him a new one, clean, unspotted,
As I took his old one, soiled, so blotted.
Then, into his troubled eyes I smiled,
“Do better now, my child !”

I went to the Throne with troubled heart,
The year was done.
“Have you a New Year for me please Lord?
I have spoiled this one.”
He gave me a New Year, pure, unspotted,
As He took the old one, soiled, so blotted.
Then, into my troubled eyes He smiled,
“Do better now, my child !”

Another piece called “Build the Boy.”

There was a father who, in trying to keep his son
occupied, cut up a picture of the world into jig-saw
pieces. Soon afterwards, his son brought him the
puzzle, completed. Surprised, the father asked him,
“How did you get this puzzle back together so soon?”

His son replied, “Well Dad, there was a picture of a
man on the other side --- so I just put the man right,
and that made the world come out right !”

This boy is telling us something, I think !!

Some jokes ----- The Bill, and Pigs might fly

Fred was given a bill for $400 as he checked out of a nice hotel,
so told the manager he thought it was a bit excessive.
“If you remember, Sir, you and your wife had a room with
a bath,” said the manager.
“But we didn’t use the bath,” said Fred.
“I can’t help that, Sir. The bath was there if you wanted to
use it or nor.”

Fred gave the matter some thought, then scribbled out a note
and put it, and $100 on the counter.
“Er. what’s this?” said the manager.
“Well it’s $100 for the room and a bill for $300 for sleeping
with my wife.”
“But, Sir, I did not sleep with your wife.”
“She was there, if you wanted her.”

An 85 year old wife found her husband in bed with another woman.
Furious, she dragged him to the balcony of their 10th
floor unit and pushed him to his death.

In court, she pleaded not guilty to the charge of first degree murder.
“Well,”” she said in her defence. “I figured if he could
still make love at the age of 93 then he would have no trouble
flying either.”
