Cogitate.

Hi There People ~~ It has been a lovely day here today,
nice and sunny and with some warmth for a welcome
change. It is great to see some flowers and blossoms
out and we know that Spring has really sprung.
I hope you are all enjoying nice weather whether it is
Spring or Fall. I am feeling brighter.

I have a poem tonight called “Cogitate” which means
think, reflect or ponder. So Let’s. . . . .

If you have a thing to say
But your thoughts go far astray
Concentrate !

If you know a law is wrong,
Do not let it drag along - -
Legislate !

If you have a speech to make,
Be quite sure this caution take
Abbreviate !

If you plan to plunge in stocks
Don’t get stranded on the rocks
Deliberate !

If your food does not agree,
Since you eat it hastily
Masticate !

If the other man is right
Do not beat the air nor fight
Capitulate !

If your bills are overdue
Take this very helpful cue
Liquidate.

If your nerves are all on edge,
Make today a solemn pledge
Rusticate !

If you have a thought worth while
Or can cause a friend to smile
Disseminate !

If there’s trouble in the land,
And they need your helping hand,
Co-operate !

Some jokes now – that John found for me.

Last Race.

A guy was sitting quietly reading his paper when his wife
walked up behind him and whacked him on the head with a magazine.

"What was that for?" he asked.

"That was for the piece of paper in your pants pocket with the
name Laura Lou written on it," she replied.

"Two weeks ago when I went to the races, Laura Lou was the name
of one of the horses I bet on," he explained.

"Oh honey, I'm sorry," she said. "I should have known there was a
good explanation.

Three days later he was watching a ball game on TV when she walked up
and hit him in the head again, this time with the iron skillet, which
knocked him out cold.

When he came to, he asked, "What the hell was that for?"

She replied, "Your horse called."

Perfect Shot.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
A golfer stood over his tee shot for what seemed an eternity. Looking
up, looking down, measuring the distance, figuring the wind direction
and speed. Driving his partner nuts.

Finally his exasperated partner says, "What's taking so long? Hit the
blasted ball!"

The guy answers, "My wife is up there watching me from the clubhouse.
I want to make this a perfect shot."
"Forget it, man, you'll never hit her from here!"

And ne from the paper ---

A woman saw a beautiful necklace in the window of a
jewellery store and knew she had to have it.

So she went into the exclusive shop and asked the
saleswoman if a small deposit would hold the necklace
until her husband did something completely unforgivable.

And a few quotes for you - - -

It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because
you can only do a little. - - – Sydney Smith.

Money can’t buy friends, but you can get a better class
of enemy. - - - Spike Milligan.

Money makes money, and the money money makes, makes
more money. - - - Benjamin Franklin.

Let us never negotiate out of fear, but let us never fear
to negotiate. - - - John F. Kennedy.

As you make your way through life,
Let this ever be your goal,
Keep your eye upon the doughnut
And not upon the hole. - - - Anonymous.

An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity.
A pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity. - - Anon.

Bye for now, till next time. Take care friends. Merle.
