A few jokes.

Hi Everyone ~~ Still cannot post properly so will just say hello to you all here in
Blogger. I hope all is well with you and yours. I am fine, just frustrated at this.
I typed a reasonable post on Friday and have tried each day to put it on. I guess
it will happen one day. I do not know if there is a limit as to what I can put on here. So I have a short joke or two - - -

Robin Hood was on his death bed and asked Little John to get his bow and arrow.
When he did, Robin said to Little John: "Open the window wide and I'll fire this arrow and whever it lands is where you have to bury me."

So they buried him on top of the wardrobe.

A wife went to the police station with her nextdoor neighbor to report her husband was missing, The policeman aske dfor a description. She said he's 35 years old,6 ft4, has dark eyes, dark wavy hair, an athletic build, weighs 185 pounds, is soft-spoken, and is good to the children.

The nextdoor neighbor protested, "Your husband is 5 ft 4, chubby, bald, has a big
mouth, and is mean to your children." The wife replied, "Yes, but who wants HIM
back?"

My wife invited some people to dinner. At the table, she turned to our 6 year old daughter and said, "Would you like to say the blessing?"
"I wouldn't know what to say," she replied.
"Just say what you hear Mummy say," my wife said.

Our daughter bowed her head and said, "Dear Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner?"

After Leslie brought home her fiance to meet her parents, her father invited the young man into his study to find out more about him.
"What are your plans?" he asked Joseph.
"I'm a scholar of the Torah," Joseph replied.
"Well that's admirable," Leslie's father replied. "But what will you do to provide
a nice house for my daughter?"

"I will study, and God will surely provide for us," Joseph explained.
"And how will you buy her a nice engagement ring?"
"I will study hard, and God will provide for us."
"And children?" asked the father. "How will you support children?"
"Don't worry, sir, God will provide," replied the fiance.

The conversation continued in much the same fashion. After Joseph and Leslie left, her mother asked what he had found out.
The father answered, "Well, he has no job and no plans, but the good news is that he thinks that I am God."

Well, I had better not push my luck folks. So will say Bye for now, Keep well and
happy. Look after each other and have some fun.
Cheers, Merle.

Hi Merle

I've been catching up and I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. You have had quite a time of it lately, haven't you?

I enjoyed the Robin Hood joke, buried him on top of the wardrobe...giggle.

I'm not sure what is happening with blogger. Maybe we're getting too smart and it can't keep up!

Keep well, Merle.

Love and hugs oxox

Thank you for your kind words at my place.
The quote on that post was: There is no pain as great as the memory of joy in present grief. ~ Aeschylus
All of memories are like you said. They are fun and happy and great memories. With the amount of time we spent together the memories are endless. He didn't only make me smile he made me laugh at loud also! I am okay I just miss him is all. I also know how much he was suffering the last few years and I am thankful that he feels no more pain.
Thanks for the jokes!
I am sorry you are having so much trouble posting. I know how frustrating that can be.
Thank you for being my friend.
I appreciate you more than you can know. Hugssssssssss

Dear Merle,

Sorry you're having a bad time with blogger!

....I have been reluctant to switch to Beta- because I'm afraid I'll run into problems I can't figure out!!!!

As it is things are going ok for me.

The jokes were good as always.

You have nice jokes again today, Merle.
With Blogger misbehaving I can read every word you are writing LOL.
If you have MicroSoft Front Page or another HTML editor you could write them there.
Then open Blogger and paste them in. I do that sometimes. If Blogger misbehaves just do it again.
