The Cracked Pot.

Post 210 - - - - - - Tuesday, 22nd May, 2007.

Hello again My Friends ~~ I hope your day has been as happy as
mine has. I went to see my Doctor and got all good results from
last week's blood tests, so I am pleased about that and hope I won't
be back for another 3 months. And the computer is working well.
I have a chicken casserole in the crockpot, which will be nice. And
my home is clean and tidy again. What's to be miserable about ??

My daughter Julie sent me the story of "The Cracked Pot,"I have posted this a long time ago, so it can stand another airing.

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the
ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect
and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long
walk from the stream to the house. The cracked pot arrived only
half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing
home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect
pot was proud of it's accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot
was ashamed of it's own imperfection, and miserable that it could
only do half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to
the woman one day at the stream, "I am ashamed of myself,
because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the
way to your house."

The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers
on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side ?"
"That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted
flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk
back, you water them."

"For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to
decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there
would not be this beauty to grace the house."

Each of us has our own unique flaw, but it's the cracks and flaws
we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and
rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are
and look for the good in them.

So to all my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to
smell the flowers on your side of the path !!

Share this story with all your crackpot friends, and don't forget
the crackpot who sent it to you.

First joke tonight comes from my friend Warren, Thanks mate.

I was happy. My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a
year and we decided to get married.

My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me,
and my girlfriend was a dream !

There was only one thing bothering me, very much indeed, and
that one thing was her younger sister.

My prospective sister-in-law was twenty years of age, wore tight
mini skirts and low cut blouses.

She would regularly bend down when near me and I got many a
pleasant view of her underwear. It had to be deliberate as she
never did it when she was near anyone else.

One day little sister called and asked me to come over to check
the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived.

She whispered to me that soon I was to be married, and she had
feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome and didn't
really want to overcome.

She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before
I got married and committed my life to her sister. I was in total
shock and couldn't say a word.

She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom. and if you want to
go ahead with it, just come up and get me." I was stunned !!
I was frozen in shock as I watched her go upstairs.

When she reached the top, she pulled down her panties and threw
them down the stairs at me. I stood there for a moment, then
turned and went straight to the front door.

I opened the door, and stepped out of the house. I walked straight
towards my car. My future father-in-law was standing outside.

With tears in his eyes he hugged me and said, "We are very happy
that you passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man
for our daughter. Welcome to the family."

The moral of this story is :

Always keep your condoms in your car !!
<><><>

If you want someone who will bring you the paper without tearing
it apart to remove the Sports section.
Buy a dog !!

If you want someone willing to make a fool of himself simply over
the joy of seeing you.
Buy a dog.

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him
and never say it's not quite as good as his mother makes.
Buy a dog.

If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour, for as
long and wherever you want.
Buy a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't
give a hoot about football, and can sit next to you as you watch
romantic movies.
Buy a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get up on your bed just
to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores.
Buy a dog.

If you wannt someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't
care if you are pretty, ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as
if every word you say is especially worth listening to, and loves
you unconditionally, perpetually.
Buy a dog.

But on the other hand, if you want someone who will
never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come
home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs
around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and
acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness.....
Then my friend, buy a cat.

A. Apple: You are a person who prefers apples !
B. Banana: You are a person who prefers bananas !
C. Strawberry: You are a person who prefers strawberries !
D. Peach : You are a person who prefers peaches !
E. Orange : You are a person who prefers oranges !

I bet right now you would like to find me and kick my butt.

Well, you won't find me . . . . because I am still hunting down the
one who sent this to me !!

You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall
be happy, and it will go well with you. - - Psalms 128:2.

Happiness should be your life's work, not a vacation that
you postpone until you have more time.

A rich person has many treasures but a wise person,
treasures many friendships.

Bye for now Folks = = Enjoy the rest of the week and have some
fun. Love and Best Wishes to you all. Cheers, Merle.

Yeaaaaaa for all your good news,
today. Especially the good results from blood tests.

All those things you mentioned, about having a good day... Yes, they're all wonderful.

But at our age, the good health news always tops the chart, hu? :-)
