Photos.

Post 244- - - - - Saturday, 30th June, 2007.

Hi Everyone ~~ Well I finally have got the knack of putting
photos on, so will show you a few, in case I lose it again!!!

I hope you are all well and having a great weekend, or are
about to. It is pleasant enough here today, and as you know
I have had quite a few visitors - which I have thoroughly
enjoyed, and hope that they have also. All on my own again
for a week, and then Bec, granddaughter from Q'ld comes
for a week. She started me off learning the computer and
that added another dimension to my life. Thanks Bec !!
She is John's middle daughter and lived in Shepparton,
and was my right hand taking me shopping to doctors etc.

First photo is one of John with his motor cycle.

Jacqui, my SIL, Geoff, son Joanne DIL and me.

Merle's Fairy Garden. Geoff built it, Jo painted the rocks.

Kate, Kristen and Joh. 3 of my 12 Grandkids yesterday.

These three left yesterday mid morning and Geoff and Jo arrived last night.
They brought the rocks for around my fairy garden, Geoff positioned them
and as usual, pulled some weeds for me. They left to go and get a trailer
load of wood for their heater. Geoff also fixed a door that wouldn't stay
closed. Then later on John called in and showed me how to crop photos, and
worked out how to post them. So it has been very productive around here.

I bought a Universal Remote for my TV etc as the TV one wouldn't work,
so Kate programmed that for me. Thanks heaps, Kate !! These clever young
people. I also bought a smallish oil heater for a bedroom (so Bec won't
freeze, although it has been cooler up there than usual.) Well, Joh unpacked
that and he and Kate put it together. Thanks again guys. I would probably
be still unpacking the box !! Opening things is not easy for me.

My dear friend Robyn sent me this by e mail. Many thanks Robyn !!

This has got to be one of the most clever E-mails I've received in awhile.
Someone out there either has too much spare time or is deadly at Scrabble.

Hi Merle. You have had a busy time and some very helpful family around also. Isn't it a good feeling to get things fixed that needed to be fixed for a while?

I reckon you've done well with the photos...it's good to see some of your family.

I'm meeting up with Peter and Warren tomorrow...I'll tell you all about afterwards...heheh!

Have a lovely cosy evening, snuggled up in front of the tv.

Hugs xoxo

What a grand looking family and they are so very handy. YOU DID GREAT ON THE PHOTOs. I am still learning to crop properly.

I used one of your jokes at the Art Venture luncheon yesterday and gave you all the credit. Were your ears burning?

Sure glad someone has time to waste and entertain the rest of us.

Hi Merle!
How on earth did you learn to put photos on... ok sorry rephrase: how on earth do you DO it? I haven't a clue... then again I'm using an inetnet cafe: would this complicate matters?
Funnel webs near Sydney~~ ukk! BC that's the place I'm most likely to go! (Have family there!)
As for your spraying redbacks... a few years ago I might have thought this was somehow cruel. But if the critter is going to kill your grandchildren (or potentially... well you know what I mean) then do it, I say. Some things aren't God's creatures; they are God's plagues.
Mouse spiders: OK I saw this on a docu... v Aussie house (bungalow) beautiful garden... camera zoomed in it was CRAWLING with these spiders ... they were what I would call venomous just from the look of them (remember I'm a pom) so what I mean is they were huge by British standards but not as big by any means as a "tarantula" (or as cute)... they just looked poisonous (know what I mean?) like black widows I suppose. And they were black and horrible looking.
Now I cannot remember where this was but am pretty sure it was somewhere between Perth-Adelaide-Melbourne-Syndey along that area ... they trapped 600 in one day and 400 in another and still there were more. And this family had small children. I hate spiders but have a friend who was phobic and constantly running out of the room whilst this was on ... I'm sure they were called Mouse Spiders ... if I get any more info from google I will get back to you (maybe that was a nickname?)

yes! I googled "mouse spider" and sure enough they inhabit East Coastal and highland areas of Australia there are EIGHT SPECIES..

all I remember from the docu was that they were worse than funnel webs which must surely be saying something....

sorry i gotta go & be sick now i hate creepy crawlies

i nearly pissed myself looking at the pixx ~ see what i mean about "you can tell they're poisonous by looking at them: I remembered that bit right"

oops~sorry for the language

Hope you're over your cold now.

I love your elfgarden... I want one like that...
I'm wary of using the term fairy garden as something like that happens in our local park... I won't go into details....
They could easily clean the place up actually with the addition of a few Mouse Spiders!!
