Our E- Mail Friends.

Post 259 - - - - - Monday, 16th July, 2007.

Hi Everyone ~~ I hope all is well with you and that the week has started
off OK. I am fine, but all alone again. Bec rang from Brisbane Airtort to
say she had arrived there. Her Grandfather was going to pick up and
drive her home. Thanks Earle -- you're a good guy. Hi Shirley !!

As I have said previously, we had a really great time together and she
was able to see some of her friends and her Dad.

This next item was sent to me by my friend Gwen and although I
have posted it before, it can stand another run. Thanks Gwen!!
I hope the 'flu is quite gone by now.

Dear God,
First, my car broke down, I was so very late for work
But I missed that awful accident, Was that your handiwork?

I found a house I loved, But others got there first
I was angry, then relieved, When I heard the pipes had burst !

I know You're watching over me, And I'm feeling truly blessed
For no matter what I pray for, You always know what's best.

I have this circle of E-mail friends, Who mean the world to me;
Some days I "send" and "send," At other times, I let them be.

I am so blessed to have these friends, With whom I've grown so close;
So this little poem I dedicate to them, Because to me they are the "Most"

When I see each name download, And view the message they've sent;
I know they've thought of me that day, And "well wishes" were their intent.

So to you, my friend, I would like to say, Thank you for being a part;
Of all my daily contacts, This comes right from my heart.

God bless you all is my prayer today, I'm honored to call you "friend
";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe, Until we write again.

Happiness comes through doors you didn't know you left open.

A blind man was describing his favorite sport, parachuting. When
asked how this was accomplished, he said that things were all done for him.

"I am placed at the door and told when to jump."
"My hand is placed on my release ring for me, and out I go."

"But how do you know when you are going to land ? he was asked.
"I have a very keen sense of smell and I can smell the trees and grass when
I am 300 feet from ground,? he answered.

"But how do you know when to lift your legs for the final arrival on the
ground ?" he was again asked.

He quickly answered, "Oh, the dog's leash goes slack."
<><> Borrowed that one from my friend Nick 's blog.

Some more photos of the Shepparton Cows. They are a Tourist
attraction and they are permanent at present. There are at least
50 of them I would guess.

These and two later photos are a large group taken in a park, between here
and Mooroopna. I really like them,

This is an Aussie Cow. (A tired one.)

A normal sort of cow !!

A Mona Lisa Cow.

A guy took a blonde out on a date. Eventually they ended up parked at
lover's point where they started making out.

After things started getting pretty good, he thought he might get lucky, so he
asked her, "Do you want to go in the back seat ?"
"No," she answered.

"Okay, he thought, maybe she's not ready yet. Now he has her shirt and skirt
off, the windows are steamed, and things are getting really hot, so he asks again,
"Do you want to go in the back seat ?"
"No." she answers again.

Now he has her bra off, they're both very sweaty, and she even has unzipped
his pants. Okay, he thinks, she HAS to want it now,
"Do you want to go in the back seat ?" he asks again.
"No," she answers yet again.

Frustrated, he demands, "Well, why not ?"
"Because I want to stay up here with you !!"

The little old lady went to the taxidermist and took from her bag two large,
but dead cats. "These poor creatures were mine," she said. "They were
so very much in love -- Fred and Freda -- and it almost broke my heart
when they died. Can you stuff them in a lifelike manner ?"

"Certainly, madam," replied the taxidermist. "Do you want them mounted?"

The little old lady thought for a moment, then shook her hear sadly :
"I know they were very much in love, but I think it would be more delicate
if they were just holing paws instead."

Mr and Mrs.'Reilly had been trying for a son for many, many years, and after
eleven daughters were eventually rewarded witha son,

"Who does he look like ?"asked a friend, visiting the maternity hospital to
visit Mrs. O'Reilly.
"We don't know," replied Mrs. O'Reilly. "We haven't looked at his face yet !!"
<><>

A small boy was peering through a hole in the fence of a nudist colony. His
friend, Paul, came up to him and asked, " Tim, what can you see?
Are they men or women in there ?"

"I don't really know," replied Tim. "None of them have got any clothes on."

I'm with Susie: the mounted cats (let's not pussyfoot around with words!) joke was the best!

Hi Merle

my second brother had a follow-up appointment with his neurosurgeon yesterday
the surgeon is very pleased with his miraculous recovery
the CT scan on his brain is very normal
his next follow-up appointment is in a year's time
meanwhile he can fly again
the only setback is the permanent loss of his sense of smell

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

thank you so much for standing together with us during our very difficult moments after my brother's freak accident in a soccer match 3 months ago
with much appreciation and gratitude
God bless you

So glad that you enjoyed the visit of your guest - we have my daughter and her family with us this week. The cows are an interesting idea on someone's part. ec

Hi Merle, I like your Aussie cows. Especially those two parks with all the cows must be really nice, so many all in one place.
Your blonde, she is about the best I've heard (or read).
I think that kid at the fence was in the first grade. That's the way I was anyway.
