Faith. . .Hope. . .Love.

Post 293 - - - - - Wednesday, 22nd August, 2007.

Hi Everyone ~~ I hope all is well with you and things going as they should.
I am fine and spent much of the day cooking - Lee's Meatloaf and some
marinated chicken wings and lots of vegetables. The meatloaf is very
tasty Lee. Thanks for the recipe- I just did the basic one with gravy !!

I got a surprise tonight just after I settled in for the night to do this,
when John rang and invited me out for a meal. It was really nice,
no cooking and no dishes after. I had Chicken schnitzel with mushroom
sauce which was delicious, John had Parmigiana Chicken and vegetables
on both meals and even chips. A huge meal and a nice surprise.

Now for a few photos - - -

These are sample pictures - - A lovely waterfall.

Trees.

A Forest path.

Funny how in your darkest hours, you'll hang on to anything
you think will help save you feeling the despair you're feeling.

Another day I wake up with the feeling that I need to get out
of here to keep my sanity, to keep on living. 1:30 pm: We head
out of the city to show one of your new out of town friends a
little town you once showed me and told me how it was one of
your favorite places you liked to visit.

We get to our destination, and as we wander around with you
sharing your smiles and laughter with her, showing her your
favorite shops. I watch from the background and remember
the times it used to be me.

I run out of one of the stores as a wave of emotion hits me.
I find a deserted table and a seat, I light up a cigarette and as
I take a drag, a feeling of hurt and anger consumes me.

I slam my hand on the table with a passion filled with anger;
anger at myself for still caring, anger at myself for being so
blind all along, anger over something that's not worth how I'm
feeling.

We continue visiting the little antique shops, while I carry with
me this feeling of emptiness inside of me; an emptiness that
weighs heavy in my heart and heavy on my body.

As we enter the last shop in our tour, I stand by the door as you
both take off to look around; I hear you both laughing in the
back of the store. I feel so alone. I close my eyes to stop the tears
from falling and call out to God : "Dear God, Please grant me the
patience and strength I need until I get myself out of this mess I
put myself in."

I swallow the tears and open my eyes once again. As I open my
eyes and look around, something catches my eyes: Three hearts
hanging from a string. The first heart had the word FAITH.
The second heart had the word : HOPE and the third heart had
the word LOVE.

As I stare at the string of hearts and the words on them echo in my
mind. I feel the tears rolling down my cheek. Faith, Hope and Love.
Isn't that what makes life worth living? Three things missing from
my life right now.

I reach out for the string of hearts and hold them in my hand so tight.
I wipe my tears, head to the cashier, and pay for my string of hearts
to take home with me; to remind me to hang on to my string of life
in my moments od despair.., to never give up on what makes life
worth living; Faith. . . Hope. . . .Love.

As we drive back home, listening to both of you in the front seat
carry on with your laughter and conversation, I feel once again a
moment of despair, but not for long, as I reach into my pocket
and pull out my little string of hearts. Something to hang on to,
until I find life again !! FAITH . . .HOPE. . . Love.

What do accountants do for fun ?
Add up the phone book.
<><>

Why did the accountant stare at his glass of orange juice
for three hours ? Because on the bos it said Concentrate.
<><>

A fool and his money are soon audited.

An accountant is having a hard time sleeping and goes to
see his doctor. "Doctor, I just can't get to sleep at night."

"Have you tried counting sleep ?"
"That's the problem - I make a mistake and then spend three
hours trying to find it."

There was a redhead, a brunette and a blonde. They were
walking into a shop and saw a mirror.

The shopkeeper went up to them and said , " I see you have
seen my magic mirror. If you look into it and tell the truth
about anything at all then you will be rewarded with your
heart's desire, but if you lie then you will be forever sucked in."

The redhead went up to the mirror and said, " I'm married."
And she found in her hand five million dollars.
The brunette went up to the mirror and said, "I have 4 children."
And awaiting her outside was a limo.

The blonde went up to the mirror and said, "I think," and was
immediately sucked into the mirror !!

It was a dull day and Alf had come home from work feeling as
depressed as the weather. Things hadn't been right at work
for a while and Alf let his depression follow him home.

Alf's wife had gone out of her way to please her husband with a
meal she had prepared as instructed at evening classes, but all Alf
did was sniff at his plate before pushing it away. His wife knew there
was something wrong with their marriage, so decided to find out just
what it was.

"You aren't the same woman that I married
," protested Alf. "You
leave eyes in the potatoes, my shirts have creases where they shouldn't
be, you don't remake the bed every day . . . . and while I'm on that
subject, you don't moan when we make love !"

"But I could do . , , , " answered the meek woman.
That night in bed, Alf went into his amorous escapades and his wife was
eager to please. "Shall I moan now?" she asked.
"Not yet," said Alf, who wanted things to be just so. Another few minutes
went by. "Shall I moan now?" came the female voice.

Knowing that things were about to come to an end; Alf gave permission
for moaning to begin. "Go on. . . moan."

There was silence for a few seconds, then the female voice began to moan :
"What about those shelves you promised to put up? she moaned. "This
bedroom wants decorating . . . .you can stop going to the pub at Sunday
lunchtime, the garden wants . . . ."

The new porter at a hotel in Mexico had been given careful
instructions as to how to behave with courtesy & efficiency.

"You should try to welcome each guest by name," instructed
the hotel manager.
"But how can I do that? How will I know their names?" asked
the porter.

"Simple !" said the manager. "Each guest usually has his or her
name written on their luggage."

So the first couple to enter the hotel and be welcomed by the new
porter were greeted : "Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Simulated Real
Leather."
<><>

"Help. Help !" shouted the man in the sea. "I can't swim !"

"So what?" shouted the drunk man from the shore, "I can't
play the piano, but I'm not shouting about it."

Hi Merle:-)

Glad you were able to go out for a meal with John...that's what I love about going out to eat...no dishes to do afterwards! lol

I so enjoyed the Faith, Hope & Love story...it's certainly 3 things that we need to hold on to!! The pictures are lovely...I've always had a fascination with waterfalls and could sit there for hours just watching the water and the sound of it:-)

Take care of yourself my friend! xoxo

Hi Merle. What beautiful photographs, did you take them?

I actually haven't got around to making that meatloaf yet. I keep forgetting to buy a new ink cartridge for my printer so I can't print it out at the moment. And I'm sure not going to have it up on screen and be running back and forth to see what I do next...lol! Can you imagine it? I don't have a laptop...only a PC.

Hugs xoxo
