10 Most Important Things.

Post 306 - - - - - Thursday, 6th September, 2007.

Hello my friends ~~ I hope all is well with you and the weather
is treating you better. It has been a nice day here and getting a
little warmer. My second son, Geoff and his wife Joanne are
coming up from Sunbury, near Melbourne, tomorrow night for
a night's stay and Geoff will do some garden work for me, as he
usually does. It is always nice to see them.

The photos tonight are again from the garden - - - -

My pale pink Waterlily Camelia, covered in flowers.

I gave this Maiden-hair fern to my mother many many years ago,
She died in 1977, 30 years ago, and it is still going strong.

Can you tell I like Camelias ?

A nice Geranium, I grew from a cutting from a friend.

Helen Clarke, Prime Minister of New Zulland, is rudely woken
at 4eam by the telephone.

"Hillen, it's the Hilth Munister here. Sorry to bother you at this
hour but there's an imirgincy ! I've just received word that the
Durex fectory en Auckland has burned to the ground. It is istimated
that the entire New Zulland supply of condoms will be gone by
the end of the week."

PM : "Shut. The economy wull niver be able to cope with all those
unwanted babies. We'll be ruined !"

Hilth Minuster : "We're going to hef to shup some in from
abroad. . . .Britain?"

PM : "No chence !! The Poms will have a field day on thus one !"

Hilth Minuster : "What about Australia ?"

PM : "Maybe - but we don't want them to know thet we are stuck."

Hilth Minuster : "You call John Howard. Tell hum we need one
moollion condoms; ten enches long and eight enches thuck !
That way they'll know how bug the Kiwis really are !!"

Helen calls John, who agrees to help the Kiwis out in their hour
of need. Three days later a ship arrives in Auckland - full of boxes.

A delighted Hillen rushes to open the boxes. She finds condoms,
ten enches long and eight enches thuck, all coloured green and
gold. She then notices in small writing on each and every one. --

Why Men Have Better Friends - - -
Women's Friends : A woman didn't come home one night. The
next day she told her husband that she had slept over at a
friend's house.

The husband called his wife's 10 best friends. None of them knew
what he was talking about.

Men's Friends : A man didn't come home one night. The next
day he told his wife that he had slept over at a friend's place.

The wife called her husband's 10 best friends. Eight of them
confirmed that he had slept over, and two claimed he was still
there.

Thank you too, dear Merle, for the Nice Matters Award and congratulations on getting it yourself. It's very well deserved in your case.

Have you had any rain? It's rained most of the week, but not very heavy. Still, every little helps.

Take care. xoxo
