Good Karma..

Post 313 - - - - - - Sunday, 16th September, 2007.

Hi My Friends ~~ I hope you have all had a great weekend
and for our overseas friends it is not quite over. So I hope the
last lap will be good for you all. Everything here is going well,
so I won't be complaining. That doesn't work anyway, so we
may as well conserve our energy. I had two picures on, but
have lost one .

This is my Crossword cousin, Michelle. We do one every Saturday and
then ring each other to complete it if necessary. This week it was a lot
easier. Her niece was reading my blog, so I hope this is s surprise for her.
Hi Vivienne !!

Tonight's first item is called "Good Karma" and was sent by my friend
Robyn from Puss in Boots. Thank you Robyn.

This is a nice reading, but short. Enjoy !!
This is what the Dalai Lama has to say for 2007.
All it takes is a few seconds to read and think over.

Instructions for Life.

1. Take into account that great love and great achievments
involve great risk.

2. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

3. Follow the three Rs :
Respect for yourself,
Respect for others and
Responsibility for all your actions.

4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes
a wonderful stroke of luck.

5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

6. Don't let a little dispute injure a great relationship.

7. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate
steps to
correct it.

8. Spend time alone every day.

9. Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.

10. Remember silence is sometimes the best answer.

11. Live a good honorable life. Then when you get older and
think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.

12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for
your life.

13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current
situation. Don't bring up the past.

14. Share your knowledge. It is the way to achieve immortality.

15. Be gentle with the earth.

16. Once a year, go some place you've never been before.

17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your
love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

18. Judge your success byy what you ad to give up in order
to get it.

19. Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

Time for a few jokes - - - -

A little boy was doing his maths homework. He said to himself,
"Two plus five, that son of a bitch is seven. Three plus six, that
son of a bitch is nine."

His mother heard what he was saying and gasped, "What are
you doing? "My math homework." said the little boy.

"And this is how your teacher taught you to do it?" she asked.
"Yes," he answered.

Infuriated , the mother asked the teacher next day, "What
are you teaching my son in math?"

The teacher replied, " "Right now, we are learning addition."
The mother asked, " And are you teaching them to say, 'two
plus two , that son of a bitch is four?"

After the teacher stopped laughing, she answered, "What I
taught them was two plus two, the sum of which is four."

My wife left me - - - I don't understand.
After the last child was born, she told me we had to cut back
on expenses. I had to give up drinking beer. I was not a big
drinker, maybe a couple of 6 packs on weekends.

Anyway, I gave it up but I noticed she came home from grocery
shopping and when I looked at the receipt, I noticed $45.00
on make-up.

I said, "Wait a minute, I've given up beer and you haven't given
up anything. "
She said, "I buy that make-up for you, so I can look pretty for you."

I told her, "Hell, that's what the beer was for."

I don't think she will be back.

To the optimist, the glass if half full.
To the pessimist, the glass is half empty.
To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

A man went to the Police Station wishing to speak with the
burglar who had broken into his house the night before.

"You''ll get your chance in court," said the Desl sergeant.

"No, no, no," said the man. "I want to know how he got into
the house, without waking my wife. I've been trying to do
that for twenty years."

Three convicts escape from prison. They make it to a nearby
town but are confronted by a policeman.

"Hey, aren't you those escaped convicts ?" he asks.
Thinking on his feet the first convict looks around him and
said, "No, I'm Mark, Mark Spencer."
The second followed his lead and said, "My name is William,
W. H. Smith."
The third said, " My name is Ken . . . Tucky Fried Chicken."

A man and his wife are dining at a plush restaurant, and the
husband keeps staring at a drunken lady swigging her crink
as she sits alone at a nearby table.

The wife asks, "Do you know her?"
"Yes," sighs the husband. "She's my ex girlfriend. I understand
she took to drinking right after we split up, seven years ago, and
I hear she hasn't been sober sinnce."

"My God !" says the wife, "Who would think a person could go on
celebrating so long?"

The DL had nothing on Mother as her version of #10 was "Don't say anything at all unless it is something good".

I like crosswords too. My mom did also.
your jokes are hillarious! I especially like the one about the math student. LOL
I copied it and sent it to some of my contacts.
Hope you have a great week Merle. It's Sunday afternoon here, and a rainy one at that. It isn't officially Autumn here yet until the 23rd, but the weather man apparently didn't know about that. We are having cool foggy mornings and the leaves are falling already too. I always begin to feel more relaxed when the weather is like this. Like getting ready got hibernation. LOL
