This Says It All.

Post 302 - - - - - Saturday, 1st September, 2007.

Hi Everyone ~~ I hope this finds you all well and enjoying
the holiday weekend overseas. Well, another month has gone
by and we are officially into Spring here in Australia. We have
had some really nice days already, although the nights still get
cold. Most evenings I have the heater on, but guess that won't
last much longer.

Happy Father's Day for all the Dads tomorrow. I hope you
all have a great day.

Our Australian Rules Football ended this weekend, only the
finals to go now and my team sure isn't in them. Maybe next
year !!! No harm in hoping !!!

The first item tonight was sent to me by my friend Gwen and
is called This Says It All. Thanks Gwen.

This Says it all.

Time passes
Life happens
Distance separates
Children grow up.

Jobs come and go
Love waxes and wanes
Men don't do what they're supposed to do
Hearts break.

Parents die
Colleagues forget favours
Careers end
BUT . . . . . . .

Sisters are there, no matter
how much time and many
miles are between you.

A girl friend is never farther away
than needing her can reach.

When you have to walk that
lonesome valley and you have to walk it
by yourself, the women in your life will be
on the valley's rim, cheering you on,
praying for you, pulling for you,
intervening on your behalf, and
waiting with open arms at the valley's end.

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and
walk beside you . . .
Or come in and carry you out.

Girlfriends, daughters, grand-daughters,
daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law,
Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces,
cousins, and extended family, all bless our lilife !

The world wouldn't be the same without
women, and neither would I.

When we began this adventure called womanhood,
we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows
that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much
we would need each other still.

There are more than twenty angels in this world.
Ten are peacefully sleeping on clouds.
Nine are playing. And one is reading this post !!

Joke time - - -

There was this man who went to the fruit shop and said,
"Can I have a kilo of tomatoes ?"
The shop keeper said, "Come back in a week."
He goes back next day and says "Can I have a kilo of tomatoes."
The shop keeper says, "Come back in a week."
So he goes back the next day and says, "Can I have a kilo of
tomatoes."

The shop keeper says, "What do you get if you take the C out of
cat?" 'At."
What do hou get if you take the D out of dog?"
"Og."
"What do you get if you take the F out of tomatoes?"
"There's no F-in tomatoes."
"That's what I've been trying to tell you."

The wife came home early one day and finds her husband
in the bedroom
making love to a beautiful, sexy young lady.

"You unfaithful, disrespectful pig!. Whart are you doing ?
How dare you do this to me, the faithful wife, and mother
of your children. I'm leaving this house. I want a divorce."

The husband replied, "Wait. Wait just a minute. Before you
go, at least listen to what happened."

"Hmmmmmmm, I dn't know," said the wife, "Well, it'll be the
last thing I will hear from you. But make it fast, unfaithful pig."

The husband begins to tell his story : "While driving home this
young lady asks for a ride. I saw her so defenceless that I went
ahead and allowed her in my car. I noticed she was very thin,
nor well dressed, and very dirty. She mentioned that she had
not eaten for three days.

"With great compassion, I brought her home and warmed up the
enchiladas that I made for you last night, the ones you wouldn't
eat because you're afraid you'll put on weight.

"The poor thing practically devours them. Since she was very
dirty I asked her to take a shower. While she was showering,
I noticed that her clothes were dirty and full of holes, so I
threw them away. Since she needed clothes, I gave her the pair
of jeans that you have had for a few years, that no longer fit you.

"I also gave her the blouse that I gave you on our anniversary, the
one you don't wear because I don't have good taste. I gave her
the pullover my sister gave you for Christmas, the one you refuse
to wear just to bother my sister, and I also gave her the boots that
you bought at the expensive boutique that you never wore again
after you saw your co-worker wearing the same pair."

The husband continues his story, "The young woman was very
grateful to me and I walked her to the door, at which point she
turned around and with tears coming out of her eyes, she asks me,
"Sir, do you have anything else that your wife does not use ?"
<><>

Two guys chatting at a pub; "I didn't sleep with my wife before
marriage, did you ?"

"Don't know, mate, What's her name ?"

A few quotes to close with - - -

Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth.

When one door closes, another door opens; but we so often
look so long and regretfully at the closed door, that we do not
see the ones that open for us. - --Alexander Graham Bell.

Enough for tonight folks. Enjoy the rest of your weekend
and be kind to one another. Spread some sunshine with
a smile or a pleasant word. Love and best wishes to you
all. Cheers, Merle.

I went to the game, Merle, and it was strange. The first half Carlton was dreadful, second half improved. I'd say we really need those draft picks...

Hope you had a good weekend.
