A Quick Hello.

Post 531 ~ ~ ~ Saturday, 8th November, 2008.

Hello Everyone ~~ I hope all is well with you as it is with me. Peter and Warren are here at present. They arrived safe and sound on Wednesday afternoon, after a visit to Mildura.

We are all getting along fine. Peter has been organising my computer for me, so it will be easier to find things. Warren has been working on his computer, and also lends a hand with the dishes. We have been out a bit, and I had two trips to the hospital for tests, which I hope will turn out fine. A nuisance when the visitors are here, but Peter took me and brought me home both days. Today we have had a quiet day, boys ? computing, and me cooking ~~ A lamb roast with roast vegetable etc. We enjoyed the meals tonight.

We are off in the morning to visit a friend of Peters who has been ill. Then on to the Great Ocean Road which is a great tourist attraction. From there we will go to visit Kathy and her family, as their farm backs on to the Great Ocean Road. There used to be
12 rock formations and they were called The Twelve Apostles. The sea has reclaimed
quite a few of them. There are still six or seven.

We will stay the night at Kathy and Ards, and then hopefully call to see our cousin Michelle on the way home. So that will be a couple of touring days which will be nice.
So now you know why I haven't been posting. I want to enjoy their visit, but will get back to normal soon.

Since I am here I have two jokes which Patty sent me. Many thanks, my friend.

Every time her neighbor would hang out the wash, the young woman would make the same comment. About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband, "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly.
I wonder who taught her this?"

Her husband said, "I got up early this morning and washed the windows."

And so it is with life : What we see while watching others, depends on the purity of the windows through which we look through.

GRANDMOTHER.
At one point during a game, the coach called one of his nine-year old baseball plaayers aside and asked, "Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?"
The little boy nodded in the affirmative.

"Do you undeerstand that what matters is whether we win or lose together as a team.
The little boy nodded yes.

"So," said the coach, "I'm sure you know, when an out is called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the umpire, or call him a pecker-head. Do you undeerstand all that?"
The little boy nodded again.

He continued, "And when I take you out of the game so another boy gets a chance to play. it's not just good sportsmanship call your coach's a dumb ass' is it?"
Again the little boy nodded.
."
"Good," said the coach. Now you go over there and explain all that to your grsndmother."
<><>

Time to say Goodnight and get off to bed as we want to make an early start tomorrow.
Take care my friends.I will be back again soon. Love and Best wishes to you all.

Hi Merle,

You just enjoy your company and don't worry about us....we'll be here when you return. I have been so busy with both jobs and just now trying to get to the bottom of my blogroll again....I wish I could visit every day, but not enough time in a day with my jobs. I do enjoy all of your jokes when I come to visit, though! You put a smile on many faces every day, I'm sure! I know you do mine! LOL

I'll be back as time permits....

(((((( HUGS ))))))

Merle,

So happy you are having a good time with your brother and friend Warren!

I'm sorry I haven't visited much lately- There's just so much going on I can't seem to keep up with all my blogging visits as I once did!

Take care,

OH! Say hi to those guys, too! ;)

Love,
June

Hi Merle, yes you should enjoy those guys company to the fullest. I know Peter is working on your computer and blog. He put the new picture at the top, right?

A good way to teach grandmas to behave. They listen to the grandkids, this one might get his mouth washed out!
Cheers,
..

G'day Merle,
The great ocean road sound real good to me, and staying close by on a farm too. You are being spoilt and I am jealous.I can see the colors, hear the waves smashing into the cliffs and smell the salty water. Enjoy!!!!
Look after yourself, and come back with lots of stories to share with us.

Well, I'm late to the show here Merle. I don't know if Peter is still there or not. How nice that he was there for a visit and that he worked on your computer. It's great to have your own personal 'Computer Wiz' to keep things running smoothly, isn't it?

Much love to you all.... ~Joy
