Update
Here is the latest on Merle's health, she has had the "pacemaker" installed, if that's the correct terminology, and the initial response seems to be the one we hoped for, she both looks and feels much better.
Now if her two weeks in respite can give her the chance to build up her strength she should be able to move back into her own home where she will feel much happier and confident.
I have passed on your good wishes, for which we both thank you, and with a little luck she will be able to use her laptop in the respite location????
Peter.
