Respite

Well its Saturday night which is when Merle would write her weekly post if she was at home, so here is another brief update, she moved into a lovely room at Waratah Lodge at Moroopna (a sister city to Shepparton) and is booked in there for probably 2 weeks and then hopefully home.
Speaking of which I'm about half way home to Gympie Queensland only another 600 kms , so any news in future posts will have to filter down to me from Victoria.
Take heart in the fact that she is feeling very well and quite upbeat so that should help in her recovery.

Peter.

We love you, Merle !!!

Hoping and praying for you a speedy recovery I know things don't go real fast for people our age but you are a really good fighter.

I'd tell you a blonde joke here but I don't know any new ones. Are there any?

[[[[HUGS]]]],
Cheers,

It's good news all the way! Thanks for your regular updates, Peter.

By being away you missed the floods...but having a good idea of where you live you would have been high and dry. Madills, of course, went under again...and again...and again! ;)

Hi everyone - not sure if anyone will actually read my comment - but just wanted to give an update on Merle (I'm her granddaughter Bec).

I just spoke with her and she is doing quite well, was watching the cricket and sounded really upbeat. Fingers crossed only a couple more weeks in respite and then she will be home again.

Thanks for all your kind words and prays and thoughts.
Thanks again Bec

Hi Bec, thanks so much for leaving your comment update on Merle. I was concerned to see on the news tonight that there is a bushfire about 5 kls from the Shepparton CBD. While it is just as well Merle isn't at home right now, I do hope her house is not in any danger.

Hi Gina E - her house is safe. The fire was the other end of Shepparton, no where near her house.. That fire is now under control and no houses where lost.

Peter, tell Merle, I am so sorry, I have been so busy with my own life, I haven't been checking my blogs like I should, I use Facebook a lot now, and I missed the whole thing about her and her Pacemaker. So thankful and happy it is working well for her and her health is coming back. Sounds like she has a lovely room to recuperate in. Tell her to take care and we're all thinking of her. Love, Patty
