The Rainbow.

Hello Everyone ~ Another week has begun and oh boy

do they come around quickly. I hope you all had a good

weekend and that the week will be a happy one for you.

I go on my fortnightly shopping trip tomorrow and have

a long list of requirements. I hope I can get all the things

I need in the allotted 2 hours, which includes travelling

time of almost half an hour.

This poem is called “The Rainbow.”

The falling rain dissolves into mist

And the thunder begins to die

As the sporadic lightning fades

An arch of color pours from the sky.

Rainbows appear after mighty storms

When things look their worst

Just when the sky is darkest gray,

Out of Heaven does a rainbow burst.

God first sent the rainbow to Noah

As a sign that His word is true

The rainbow’s eternal message

Still speaks to me and you.

The rainbow is a sign of God’s promise

That He will guide us through any storm

That He will ease all our troubles,

No matter what their form.

When you feel battered by life’s storms

And you are filled with doubt and dismay

Just remember God’s rainbow is coming,

For it’s blessing you only have to pray.

Bible Humor

Q. What kind of man was Boaz before he married?
A. Ruthless.

Q. What do they call pastors in Germany?
A. German Shepherds.

Q. Who was the greatest financier in the Bible?
A. Noah. He was floating his stock while everyone else was in liquidation.

Q. Who was the greatest female financier in the Bible?
A. Pharaoh's daughter. She went down to the bank of the Nile and drew out

a little prophet.

Q. What kind of motor vehicles are in the Bible?
A. Jehovah drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden in a Fury. David's Triumph

was heard throughout the land. Also, probably a Honda, because the apostles

were all in one Accord.

Q. Who was the greatest comedian in the Bible?
A. Samson. He brought the house down.

Q. What excuse did Adam give to his children as to why he no longer lived in Eden?
A. Your mother ate us out of house and home.

Q. Which servant of God was the most flagrant lawbreaker in the Bible?
A. Moses. He broke all 10 commandments at once.

These were sent to me by my friend Robyn from Puss in Boots. Thanks Robyn.

A blonde made several attempts to sell her old car. She was

having problems finding a buyer, because the car had 340,000

miles on it. She discussed this with a brunette friend.

The brunette suggested, “There may be a way, but it’s not quite legal.”

“That doesn’t matter as long as I can sell the car,” said the blonde.

“OK,” replied, “Here is the address of a friend who owns a car

repair shop. Tell him I sent you and he will turn back the counter on

your car to 40,000. Then your car should sell.”

The blonde took the car to the mechanic as suggested.

About a month after that, the brunette asked, “Did you sell the car?”

“No,” replied the blonde. “Why should I? It only has 40,000

miles on it.”

Next to the Camus quote that accompanies all my email, this is my favorite I think. I'm a "march to a different drummer" person.

Hope your fortnightly shopping has gone well. Mine is once a month on the major stuff so I understand very well.
