Psalm 55.

Post 353 ~ ~ ~ Wednesday, 31st October, 2007.

Hello Everyone ~~ I hope you are all well and
happy and things going well for you; I am fine.

I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Halloween.
I hope you got lots of goodies and had a happy time.

Tonight I have a nice story for you which I hope you
will enjoy. Thank you Sherrill for this one.

I see blogger is not keeping the font size the same. Sorry.

FW: Psalm 55

You really need to read this.
"Friends are God's way of taking care of us."
This was written by a Metro Denver Hospice Physician:

I was driving home from a meeting this evening about 5, stuck in
traffic on Colorado Blvd., and the car started to choke and splutter
and die -

I barely managed to coast, cursing, into a gas station, glad only that
I would not be blocking traffic and would have a somewhat warm spot to
wait for the tow truck. It wouldn't even turn over. Before I could
make the call, I saw a woman walking out of the "quickie mart "
building, and it looked like she slipped on some ice and fell into a Gas
pump, So I got out to see if she was okay

When I got there, it looked more like she had been overcome by sobs
than that she had fallen; she was a young woman who looked really
haggard with dark circles under her eyes. She dropped something as I
helped her up, and I picked it up to give it to her. It was a nickel.

At that moment, everything came into focus for me: the crying woman,
the ancient Suburban crammed full of stuff with 3 kids in the back (1
in a car seat), and the gas pump reading $4.95.

I asked her if she was okay and if she needed help, and she just kept
saying "don't want my kids to see me crying," so we stood on the other
side of the pump from her car. She said she was driving to
California
and that things were very hard for her right now. So I asked, "And you
were praying?" That made her back away from me a little, but I assured
her I was not a crazy person and said, "He heard you, and He sent me."

I took out my card and swiped it through the card reader on the pump so
she could fill up her car completely, and while it was fueling, walked
to the next door McDonald's and bought 2 big bags of food, some gift
certificates for more, and a big cup of coffee. She gave the food to
the kids in the car, who attacked it like wolves, and we stood by the
pump eating fries and talking a little.

She told me her name, and that she lived in
Kansas City. Her boyfriend
left 2 months ago and she had not been able to make ends meet. She knew
she wouldn't have money to pay rent Jan 1, and finally in desperation
had finally called her parents, with whom she had not spoken in about 5
years. They live in
California and said she could come live with them
and try to get on her feet there.

So she packed up everything she owned in the car. She told the kids
they were going to
California for Christmas, but not that they were
going to live there.

I gave her my gloves, a little hug and said a quick prayer with her for
safety on the road. As I was walking over to my car, she said, "So, are
you like an angel or something?"

This definitely made me cry. I said, "Sweetie, at this time of year
angels are really busy, so sometimes God uses regular people."

It was so incredible to be a part of someone else's miracle. And of
course, you guessed it, when I got in my car it started right away and
got me home with no problem. I'll put it in the shop tomorrow to check,
but I suspect the mechanic won't find anything wrong.

Sometimes the angels fly close enough to you that you can hear the
flutter of their wings...

Psalms 55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee.
He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

Here is the prayer:

"Father, I ask You to bless my children, grandchildren, friends,
relatives and e-mail buddies reading this right now. Show them a new
revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister
to their spirit this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your
peace and mercy. Where there is self doubt, release a renewed
confidence through Your grace, In Jesus' precious name. Amen."

When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, "Jesus, could You
please get that for me.

Another one from Sherrill ~~ Thank you my friend.

Psychopath Test.
Read this question, come up with an answer, then scroll down for the
true result.

This is not a trick question. It is as it reads. No one I know has got it
right.

A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met a guy that
she didn't know. She thought this guy was amazing. She believed
him to be her dream guy so much that she fell in love with him then
and there, but never asked for his number and could not find him.''

A few days later, she killed her sister.
Question : What is her motive for killing her sister ?
Give some thought before you answer, see the
answer below.

She was hoping the guy would appear at the family funeral
again. If you answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath.

This was a test by a famous American Psychologist used to test
if one has the same mentality as a killer.

Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and answered
the question correctly.

If you didn't answer the question correctly, good for you.

If you got the answer correct. please let me know so I can take you off
my e mail list. . . . .
<><>

Little Johnny keeps asking his Dad for a television in his bedroom
to which his Dad keeps saying, " No." After all the nagging, he
agrees and says OK.

Several nights later, Johnny comes downstairs and asks, "Dad,
what's Love Juice ?" Dad is horrified, and after looking at Mum
who is also gob-smacked, proceeds to give the boy the whole
works, warts and all. Johnny sits on the sofa with his mouth
open in amazement.

Dad asks, "So what are you watching, son ?"
Johnny replies, "Australian Open Tennis."
<><>

A middle-aged woman had a heart attack and was taken to the
hospital. While on the operating table, she had a near death
experience. Seeing God she asked, "Is my time up ?"
God says, "No, you have another 40 years, two months and
eight days to live."

Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in hospital and
have a face-lift, liposuction, and a tummy tuck. She even
had someone come in and change her hair color. Since
she had so much more time to live, she figured she might
as well make the most of it.

After her last operation, she was released from the hospital.
While crossing the street on her way home, she was killed
by an ambulance.

Arriving in front of God, she demanded, " I thought you said I
had another 40years to go. Why didn't you pull me from out
of the path of the ambulance ?"

God replied, "I didn't recognize you !!"
<><>

Well I will have to close now as my eyes do not want to stay
open. So take care, my friends and be kind to each other.
Love and best wishes to you all. Cheers, Merle.

Happy Halloween dear Merle:-) Hope your day was filled with lots of treats!! It's just before noon here so the trick or treaters won't be coming to the door until at least 6 pm. I think I'm ready! lol

Loved the story of the man helping that woman and her kids...we do indeed have angels living right here among us and they don't even have their wings yet:-)

Phew, I'm not a psychopath..I couldn't figure out why the woman would want to kill her sister! lol Anyway, now you can keep me on your email list! hehe

Take care my friend, know that I think of you often!! xoxo

Happy Halloween from the Irishman too. Hope you stay out the candy a little bit. Do you folks down under celebrate Halloween like they do in the states?

Happy Halloween Merle... like your friends above, still a while to go for us here. I am going for the treat everytime tonight! No scary tricks for me.
Hope you are keeping well, I've been on holiday for a week and it's taking me a while to get back into the swing of things!
Hugs xx

Did you know that "angel" merely means "messanger". So God's angels may well appear from time to time in human form...

Dear Merle,

Halloween has been hijacked by the kids. lol Over the last few decades it has turned into a night that kids can dress up, get candy, and bob for apples. It's a lot different than when I was a kid - and certainly different than it was a few centuries ago.

Kindness of strangers - a very nice story. It seems that kindness always increases around the holiday season. But it would be wonderful if humans could remember that kindness is needed all year long.

I've had a lot of catching up to do over here - and once again, I leave with a smile.

In the post below, your azalia is beautiful.

Loved your post today about the woman at the gas pump. Grandma used to tell us, "Beware, least you entertain angels, unaware." I have encountered many angels in my life and try to be an earthly angel when someone is in need. Thank you, sweet Merle, for reminding me that angels are everywhere and often are in disguise.

Blessings,
Mary

We only had three Halloween "guests" tonight, which is not unusual. We live at the end of the street near the highway and most don't want to walk that far to get their "treats". ec

The story of the lady at the petrol bowser is inspiring..you wonder if it was based on fact, or just another of the warm and fuzzies that go around and around in cyberspace. Doesn't matter really, does it - if it makes you feel good, it works.
