Happy Birthday Lady Di.

Post 393 ~ ~ ~ Saturday, 12th January, 2008.

Hello Everyone ~~ Just a quick post to ask you to pop over to wish
Lady Di a very Happy Birthday for the 12th January. It is the 12th
already here and won't be long before her special day. Have a very
Happy Day with a few special surprises, my friend.

Next is a correction for a blonde joke from last night. This was
pointed out to me by a very alert blogger Squirrel. Thank you.

I had the blonde trapped "in an elevator " and it should have been

she was trapped "on an escalator" and the power went out.
Sorry about that one folks. Did anyone else notice ?

To make amends I will post a few "Children's Quips."

Jack (age 3) was watching his mother breastfeed his new baby
sister. After a while he asked, "Mom why do you have two? Is one
for hot and one for cold milk?

Melanie (age 5) asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied
that she was so old, she had fogotten. Melanie said, "If you don't
remember, you must look in the back of your panties. Mine say 5 to 6."

Steven (age 3) hugged and kissed his mother goodnight. "I love you
so much, that when you die, I'm going to bury you outside my window."

Brittany (age 4) had an earache and wanted a painkiller. She tried in
vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her mother
explained it was a childproof cap and she'd open it for her.
Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked, "How does it know it's me?"

Susan (age 4) was drinking juice when she got the hiccups.
"Please don't give me this juice again," she said. "It makes my teeth

Marc (age 4) was engrossed in a young couple that were hugging
and kissing in a restaurant. Without taking his eyes off them, he
asked his Dad, "Why is he whisoering in her mouth ?"

D.J. (age 4) stepped on the bathroom scales and asked, "How much do
I cost ?"

Clinton (age 5) was in his bedroom looking worried. When his Mom
asked what was troubling him, he replied, " I don't know what will
happen with this bed when I get married. How will my wife fit in ?"

James (4) was listening to a Bible story. His Dad read: "The man named
Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city, but his wife
looked back and was turned into salt." Concerned, James asked,
"What happened to the flea ?"

Tammy (age 4) was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather
wrinkled woman who her Mom knew. Tammy looked at her for a while
and then asked, "Why doesn't your skin fit your face ?"

The sermon, I think, this Mom will never forget . . . . This particular
Sunday sermon . . . :Dear Lord,: the minister began with arms
extended towards heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face,
"Without You, we are but dust." He would have continued but at
that moment my very obedient daughter (who was listening) leaned
over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little girl voice,
"Mom, what is butt dust ?"

One quote tonight especially for Leann who lost her father
yesterday. Deepest sympathy my friend.

Where there is belief
There is love
Where there is love
There is Peace
Where there is Peace
There are Blessings
Where there are Blessings
There is God
Where there is God
There is not even one need.

Bye for now my friends, enjoy the rest of the
weekend. Take great care. Love and best wishes
to you all. Cheers, Merle.

Out of the mouth of babes. Kids can say some of the sweetest things and not even realize it. Hey we have SUN today. It is only going to get up to around 40F or so today. And they claim we'll be getting some snow tomorrow. The post I lost last evening, wasn't a post I was doing, it was actually a comment I had left for you and somehow hit the wrong button and it was GONE. Again sleep well my friend.

Hi Merle -- Yes, I just added mine to Lady Di Tn's Birthday wish list. Thank You. It is the first time I had left a comment on her blog.

I liked your 'best blonde joke.' Just the list of best of the month brought back laughs. Thank you again.

Cheers, Jim

Kids do say the cutest things, don't they?

Beautiful poem. Sad days ahead for Leann.

Als loved Old Age is a Gift.

Am running late here. Have much to do and then get ready for church, and then lunch with friends.

It's always a pleasure to visit with you, dear
Merle. Have a lovely Monday.

Blessings and Love,

I love those kids' quips. I remember when my 16-year-old grandson was about two. He came inside one day, crying and rubbing his head. When my daughter asked him what the matter was:

"I hurt my roof!" he sobbed.

So sorry to hear of Lady Di's loss, especially at this time of the year, holiday season

Sorry, that was meant to be Leann's loss. Oops.

Good Morning Merle

How are you today?

The jokes by the kids are so innocent and funny. They're so honest and adorable.

The quote for Leann is so comforting.

Please take care, Merle.
