New Award from Kathy.

Post 636 ~ ~ ~ Thursday, 15th October, 15th October, 2009.

Hello again Everyone ~~ I hope all is well in your corners of the world.
I am fine, have been very busy the last few days. I had my friend,
Lorraine come on two afternoons and she planted some lovely new plants
for me. Mostly pelagoniums and geraniums and she also put up some
nice new colored solar lights, so all is looking nice again. I will take some
photos soon. We have had a lot of showery weather. You know how
tiring this supervising is.

Then shopping day on Tuesday and today I went to see my doctor who
said all the blood tests were good. So all is well for now.
Next project is to get some tomato plants in and plan more spring
onions. And also get a few new herbs.

I was really surprised and very pleased to get the "One Lovely Blog"
award from a new friend Kathy. Thank you so much and I will post the
list of my recipients in the next day or so.

A very lovely award and I am so honored to receive it.

Next one is not really a joke. Anything but !! This was sent by
my English friend Mike B. and previously by my friend Jim.
Thank you both. It is called the "New Alphabet."

A is for apple, and B , is for boat
That used to be right, nut now it won't float!
Age before beauty is what once was said,
but let's be a bit
realistic instead.

A is arthritis; B for bad back; C for the chest pains perhaps
car-d-iac? D is for dental decay and decline.
E is for eyesight, can't read that top line.
F is for fissures and fluid retention.
G is for gas which I'd rather not mention.
H is for high blood pressure
I for incisions with scars you can show
J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend.
K is for knees that crack when they bend.
L 's for libido. What happened to sex?
M is for memory, I forget what comes next.
N is for neuralgia, in ner
ves
O is for osteo, bones that don't grow.
P for prescription, I have quite a few
just give me a pill and
I'll be as good as new.
Q is for queasy. Is it fatal or flu?
R is for reflux, one meal turns to two.
S is for sleepless night, counting my fears.
T is for Tinnitus; bells in my ears.
U is for urinary; troubles with flow;
W is for worry. NOW what's going around?
X is for X ray, and what might be found.
Y for another year I'm left here behind.
Z is for zest I still have ~~ in my mind.

I've survived all the symptoms, my body's deployed and I'm
keeping twenty-six doctors fully employed !!!

Next one from my friend Big Dave T. Thanks for this one.

A doctor was visiting the ward where they put patients with delusions
of grandeur. He went up to one patient and asked his name.
"It's Napoleon," he said, his hand stuffed in his shirt.

"God told me I was Napoleon." Then a voice came from a patient
across the room, "No, I didn't."

One from my friend Sheree-N-ChinaMcClernan. Thank you.

Well, I have to close for tonight my friends as I cannot stay awake.
Look after yourselves and each other. Love and best wishes to you all.
Cheers, Merle.

Hi Merle! So glad that you are well and busy in your garden! It sounds lovely...can't wait to see the pictures. I love the texted 10 commandments! It was quite a challenge for me to get through it though! (smiling)
Bless you friend, keep well,

It has been so rainy here too! I am in desperate need of just a few hours of sunshine. Hang in there and I am sure we will both get charged up soon.
Take care.

Glad to hear that all is going well with you, Merle. It has been very rainy here this year! I'm not complaining, though. Previously, we've endured several years of severe drought. I'm grateful for the rain!

I like all of the jokes...especially the chocolate ones!

Blessings,
Beth

I don't envy you having blood tests. They want me to go for one and I've refused for nearly a year!

Human pincushion... nasty business! Even for someone in my "situation" ...

Dear Merle, thank you so much for the birthday wishes:-) I do hope you went to check out my birthday post, you were there in a little faerie outfit! hehe

You are busy with planting and I'm busy clearing out my flowerbeds! lol Yesterday I also put away all my patio/deck furniture so it looks so bare now. We had our first snowfall on my birthday morning but thank goodness it melted as soon as the sun came out. We had almost two weeks straight of rain so I'm happy to see the sun out the last couple of days!!

Omigosh, those two picture ARE odd! lol That poor bride looks like she has horse legs and the plane looks like it's going straight for those wires! Eek!

Loved the alphabet...as I get older it's becoming more true! lol Thank you for another delightful post and for making me smile.

Take care of yourself my friend. xoxo

Glad to hear your blood tests were good. That award is so pretty, congratulation. I had my granddaughter try and read the texts from God, she did pretty good. I liked the one from Mike and Jim, very clever and true. The chocolate one made me feel like I gained a little from just reading it. Hope you have a very nice weekend.

Dear Merle. Love the chocolate one, since I love chocolate so much. And I just realized, I'm a walking alphabet. LOL

We've been working in the yard all week, getting things trimmed back and taking it to the refuse, they will make it into mulch.

I made a big kettle of vegetable soup, we will eat on it for lunch and supper today. Tomorrow for Sunday dinner I'll be making spare ribs and kraut along with mashed potatoes. Not sure if we'll have any dessert, might be applesauce.

Don't over do planting things. I keep forgetting it's your Spring time.

Sleep well tonight, on Nov. 1st. we have to change those dreaded clocks again. I wish they would leave the time alone. Take care, Love, Patty

Merle, you are doing things up right here aren't you! I've already sent the 10 commandments to Mrs. Jim and to my sister.
Chocolate is next, my sister is addicted worse than I am.

I am glad you have friends and that they will help you. I will like to see your garden pictures, it is always soooooo pretty.

:-) Cheers,
..
