Short Post.

G'day Everyone ~~ I hope you are all well and enjoying life as I am. It has been cooler here today, thank goodness. I have evaporative cooling which is wonderful and helps me survive the Summer weather. I am enjoyig my grand-dogs and we are getting on just fine. John is due back on Suday, so they will be thrilled to see him.

I am so sorry that the post last night came out all wrong for some of you, but some were able to read it. I think if you go to Word, then Font, then whingdings, select all and then change the font to New Times Roman or whatever, and maybe that will work. I hope it does not happen again.

I will make this a short post, just in case of problems. From Friendship Book again.

Ten-second sermon with a smile - - -It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

To help or bless the whole wide world
Is far too much for me,
But in my little sphere I'll try
A gentle friend to be.
And at the last I may well find
I've comforted by being kind.

Just a couple of jokes tonight - - -

A young boy approached a policeman and says, "Please, officer, my father has got
into a fight at the pub. Can you help him?"

The policeman agrees and follows the boy around the corner to the pub, where he
sees two men brawling on the footpath (sidewalk)

The policeman asks the boy, "Which man is your father?"
The boy replies, " I don't know, that's what they're fighting about.

I was having trouble with my computer, so I called Harold the computer bloke to
come over. He clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.
He gave me a bill for a minimum service call.

As he was walking away, I called after him, "So, what was wrong?"

He replied, It was an ID ten T error. I didn't want to appear stupid, but none the less
inquired, "An ID ten T error? What's that in case I need to fix it again?"

Harold grinned, "Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error?" "No," I replied.

"Write it down," he said "and I think you will figure it out."
So I wrote down ID10T.
<><><>

Will see if that works out OK. Take care, my friends. Cheers, Merle.

I just tried yesterdays post again using Internet Explorer and it came up with whingdings,

anyone who couldn't read it can highlight all the funny text and copy (ctrl c) it and paste (ctrl v) to Word, make sure your formatting taskbar is ticked, then select whatever text style and size you want to use to read it.

I just read the post before this one and it was fine. ??

Thanks for your comments - I've fallen behind in replying and to reading blogs - partly because of stupid blogger not letting me access or comment.

Have a great weekend.

Ann

P. S. What's all this about punctuation and the apostrophe? I guess I'll have to look at Peter's blog and find out.

Hi Merle, this post was fine. Must be those gremlins that attacked my computer last week!

It is hot, hot, hot here today. Hopefully it will signal a storm later. We certainly need the water!

Talk soon
