I'm Home Again.

Post 428 ~ ~ ~ Friday, 28th March 2008.

Hello Dear Friends ~~ I had a great time with three cousins, my
favorite ones and we all enjoyed seeing each other and catching
up with our news. Michelle, where I stayed, brought me home
yesterday afternoon and she went home after lunch.

I hope you are all doing well with no major problems. (We can
handle the little ones !!) I hope your Easter was good, as mine
was. I would like to thank you all so very much for your kind
comments and also for your thoughts and prayers for Vicki.
They have been a great comfort to her, to Peter and myself.

Peter and I grew up together and each had 4 kids, so we have
always felt close to each other and our kids. We did have an
older half brother, but he died aged 15, when I was 5 and Pete 3
so basically there was just the two of us. We have both been
married twice, and both are now on our own.

Thank God for our computers, where we have found some
wonderful friends and learned about their lives and their
families and also the other places where they live. I find
it very interesting to learn about other countries. You are
all very special to me, I hope you know that.

It will take me awhile to get round to visit you all, but I
will get there. I have missed you all.

Time for just a few jokes ~ ~ ~

A man walked into the office of a plastic surgeon and gave
a cheque for two thousand pounds to the receptionist.
"I think there is some mistake," said the receptionist.
"Your bill is only one thousand pounds."

"I know," said the man, "but the operation was tremendously
successful. The surgeon took some skin from my behind -
where no one will ever see that it's missing - and grafted it
on to my cheek and totally got rid of the large scar I used to
have there."

"So the extra thousand is for a job well done?" asked the
receptionist.

"Not exactly. It's a token of appreciation for all the delight
I get every time my mother-in-law kisses my backside - and
doesn't even know it."
<><>

Man : "My wife and I had a short row on Friday night. She
wanted to go to the opers and I wanted to go to the theater --
but we soon came to an arrangement."

Friend : "And what was the opera like ?"
<><>

"Next week," said the vicar, "My sermon will be about
truthfulness and I think it especially important that
on getting home
from church today -- or at least some
time during the week -- that you read the twenty-ninth
chapter of Leviticus."

The following week, the vicar started his sermon : "Last
week I said my sermon this week would be about truth-
fulness and I asked you all to read the twenty-ninth
chapter of Leviticus. Now, can all who did this please
raise your right hands."

Almost the entire congregation raised their right hands.

"Just as I suspected." said the vicar. "You could not
possibly have read the twenty-ninth chapter of Leviticus.
Leviticus only has twenty-seven chapters !!"
<><>

Well, I am afraid I have to close and get myself off to
bed, just too sleepy to do more tonight. Hope to do better
next time. Do take care my friends, and enjoy the coming
weekend. Love and best wishes to you all. Cheers, Merle.

Merle, I am glad you had a nice time with the cousins. You don't need to be in a hurry to check me out, I'm pretty quiet (I did have a 'guest writer' Thursday).

I'm not sure it is a sin to lie except when under oath? I lie a lot! Maybe it is a sin because it is an activity that I like?

Merle
So glad you are safely home and have so many new memories to keep close to your heart.
This blogger missed her daily fix of Third Try so I am selfishly glad you are back to your computer.
Now I have MADE YOU AN EXCEPTION TO A RULE. I HAVE TAGGED YOU FOR AN ABC MEME. I normally do not do meme or tag anyone but I must say this one was a hoot to do. It is up to you to accept the tag or not. Peace and again I am glad your back. MISS Y'ALL THIS MUCH-------------------------------(THESE ARE ARM LENGTHS)

Hi Merle: Glad you're back OK. Can I ask you something quickly? I'm low on time but here's my query

Can I ask your advice about my place? I'm getting a new room in the same house. Lots of clutter. Do you agree I should just leave what I don't want even if it's half my clothes etc. and just move "lite" into the new room?... Please RSVP ASAP I'm desperate for advice! Many thanxx
G

if you can leave advice chez moi by tomorrow morning UK time I'll get it and it will be much appreciated!

Many thanx

Dear Merle,

Welcome back! I am glad you had a wonderful Easter with your cousins. My prayers continue for Peter and Vickie.

My family just left Saturday morning, so I haven't been around the computer much either.

Cute jokes as always. I missed you and your postings. Have a wonderful Monday. We're having a rainy and foggy Sunday, and I kind of dread going out in it later. But at least we had beautiful weather while some of my family was here.

Take care, my friend. I look forward to more cheerful and uplifting posts this coming week.

Love and Blessings,

Renie

Good to have you back Merle...and so glad you had a nice time away.

Peter, Vicki and you are in my thoughts and in my heart. I know this is a very difficult time for you all....and that's why it's so important for all of us to let you know how we feel and that we are thinking of you. Keep your faith....and your humor my sweet friend....
