A Quick Hello.

Post 588 ~ ~ ~ Saturday 4th April, 2009.

Hello Everyone ~ ~ This is just a brief post tonight as Peter, ans 2 granddaughters are
here with me and it has been quite busy. The girls are a great help with meals and
washing up etc. John has been around quite a lot as he and Peter get on very well.
They have been teasing me saying "you don't look too well"
and neither of them like Vista.

John took this photo of the brother and sister ~ Merle and Peter.

Since I am here I will pass on a joke sent to me by my friend Jim. Thanks Jim.

It was entertainment night at the Senior Center and over 300 seniors came to see the show.
Claude the hypnotist exclaimed, "I am here to put you into a trance. I intend to
hypnotist each and every one member of the audience."

The excitement was almost electric as Claude withdrew a beautiful antique pocket
watch from his coat. I want you to each to keep you eye on the antique watch.
It's a very special watch and has been in my family for six generations.

He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting, "Watch
the watch, Watch the watch watch the watch...."

The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light gleaming off
its polished surface. Hundreds of pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch, until,
suddenly, it slipped from the hypnotist's fingers and fell to the floor, breaking into
a hundred pieces.

"CRAP" said the hypnotist.

It took thre days to clean up the Senior Center.

I hope you are all doing well, my friends and I hope to get back to posting properly
very soon. I have a couple of appointments to go to next week and am hoping to get
rid of the pain. Take care of yourselves and each other. My love and best wishes to
you all. Cheers, Merle.

Sounds like you are in the midst of a busy time; Enjoy!
Love the joke, it tickles the imagination.

Keep well, and hope the doctors appointment passes you favourably.
Spring is with us here in the UK as well, lovely time of year.

Very nice picture of you two, I am glad they came to visit, it probably took your mind off the pain for a while. I bet they wore something over their noses while cleaning up the floor, at least Claude mesmerized the seniors as he said he would. I do wish your pain would go away, maybe they can help. Have a great weekend, take care and be safe my friend.

Hi sweet Merle....

I'm so glad I stopped by to say hi. I just love the picture of you and Peter....two of my favorite people...and don't you two look great. So nice that he's there visiting. I'm sure it's really been nice to have the girls' help. I can only imagine how much teasing you've had to deal with from Peter and John...I hope you give it right back to them Merle.

Hope your weekend is going well my dear friend....Love, Joy

Very funny joke.

Glad to know that you are feeling better. It's nice to have family around to be of assistance.

Give them my best.

You didn't explain the "you're not looking too good" story Merle;
A man wanted to buy a horse from a farmer. "He doesn't look too well" said the farmer. The man buys him anyway. Next day he brings him back and says "this horse is blind, give me my money back" The farmer replies, "I told you he didn't look too good"

Hands up those who like Vista!!!!!!

Hi Merle,

Brothers can be teasers most of our life. They never change no matter how old they get, they just keep teasing us. But, we would wonder what was wrong with them if they quit.

I hope you will soon be feeling much better and the doctors can help with the pain some how or another.

Have a nice visit with your family.

Ann

Dear Merle,
Great picture of you and your brother. Next time my one brother stops in, I'll have to have Abe take a photo of the two of us. I have two brothers, younger then me, had one sister, but she died at 42 from breast cancer, she would be 68 now, one brother that is suppose to stop in this coming Friday is 64, another is 61. That's hard for me to even think that they are that old already.

Hope you soon get to feeling better soon. When you all ready have some joints that ache and hurt and the least little jar can set them off hurting more. So I'm sure that accident didn't help things. Take care, enjoy your visitors and let your brother's granddaughters help all they want.

Sleep well, more later, love, Patty

That's a wonderful picture of you and Peter.

My son has had massive problems with Vista since he downloaded the Microsoft updates last week which included the new Vista service pack. He had to restore the laptop to a point before he downloaded the updates. Luckily I'm still on XP.

Love the hypnotist story! Take care of yourself Merle I hope the pain disappears soon.

Hi Merle, I hope you are enjoying your visits. Please put Peter to work and you can try to keep him straightened out. Oh yes, and tell him thank you for me.
Again, have fun. I don't blog much when my sister visits (I have slowed way down anyway, I keep on reading yours, you are like a friend).
And I just knew you would like the joke.
Cheers,
..
BTW, Vista works really good for me, I have almost forgotten how to run Mrs. Jim's computer with Windows Seven.
