Get Out of Your Own Way.

Post  802 ~ ~ ~ Sunday,  30th  September,  2012.

Hello My Friends,  I hope this finds you all well and happy with everything in your lives.
I am doing quite well and not worrying about any impending problems.  I guess we are all
pending in some way or other and there is no time frame on impending, so let us just forget it. There have been some lovely days here lately and everything looks brighter until we get those strong winds.

My wisteria has been in full bloom for a week or so and then we got two very windy days and now I have a lovely mauve carpet of fallen flowers. Fortunately it didn't get them all.
I saw a blackbird with a leaf or something in its mouth so it is nest building. My little maple tree has a nest in it that has been renewed and reused several times and I think that is where the blackbird was heading.  I filled the bird-bath out the front and before I could get out of sight a blackbird ame and had his bath, so he was not a bit afraid of me. Or else he was very hot and dirty.

First item tonight is Get out of your own way. from Mountain Wings.

GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY!
=========================

Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it:

Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have power
to create conditions in your life.

What you speak about, you can bring about. If you keep
saying you can't stand your job, you might lose your job.

If you keep saying you can't stand your body,
your body can become sick.

If you keep saying you can't stand your car,
your car could be stolen or just stop operating.

If you keep saying you're always broke, guess what?
You'll always be broke.

If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a
woman, you will always find someone in your life to
hurt and betray you.

If you keep saying you can't find a job,
you will remain unemployed.

If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you
or believe in you, your very thoughts will attract
more experiences to confirm your beliefs.

Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be
more positive and power packed with faith, hope, love
and action.

Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you
want and deserve.

Watch your "Thoughts," they become words.
Watch your "Words," they become actions.
Watch your "Actions," they become habits.
Watch your "Habits," they become character.
Watch your "Character," for it becomes your "Destiny."

GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY!

Next one was sent by my good friend Lee. It is amazing, so I do hope it comes through.

Subject: Uplifting and joyful! Now THIS is great use of computer technology - just wonderful!

Actually this is an HP Printer & Evian Water commercial. But, there are only a few seconds which actually bring attention to the HP printer & Evian water. The bulk of the commercial is purely entertainment. And, IT IS AMAZING! I don't know how they do this kind of stuff, but it is flawless. It is so perfectly done that I could not find one thing that would make you think it wasn't real if you didn't know any better.

Great Commercial

M          My dear friend Jeanette sent me the "Walking the Dog" true story.

WALKING THE DOG ...
A WOMAN was flying from Melbourne to Brisbane ...
Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sydney
along the way. The flight attendant explained that
there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted
to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board
in 50 minutes.

Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was
blind
. A man had noticed her as he walked by and
could tell the lady was blind because her Guide
Dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her
throughout the entire flight..

He could also tell she had flown this very flight before
because the pilot approached her, and calling her by
name, said, 'Kathy, we are in Sydney for almost
an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?'
The blind lady replied, 'No thanks, but maybe
Buddy would
like to stretch his legs.'

Picture this:

All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill
when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane
with a Guide dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses...

People scattered.

They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

True story... Have a great day and remember...

...THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.

My good friend Linda from Canberra sent me this
last one, "After the Honeymoon." Thanks Linda.

Subject: After the honeymoon...

Please  excuse the four letter words in the following  story

I  would have deleted them, but it would lose its  impact without  them....

A  young couple got married and went on their  honeymoon.
When  they got back, the bride immediately called up  her mother.

"Well," said her mother, "so  how was the  honeymoon?"

"Oh,  mama," she replied, "the honeymoon was  wonderful! So  romantic..."

Suddenly  she burst out crying. "But, mama, as soon as we  returned, Sam started using the most horrible  language -- things I'd never heard  before!   I mean all these awful  four-letter words! You've got to take me  home..., "PLEASE MAMA!"

"Sarah, Sarah,"  her mother said, "calm down! You need to stay  with your husband and work this out. Now, tell  me, what could be so awful? WHAT four-letter  words?"

"Please  don't make me tell you, mama," wept the  daughter, "I'm so embarrassed, they're just too  awful! COME GET ME,  PLEASE!!"*

"Darling,  baby, you must tell me what has you so upset.  Tell your mother these horrible four-letter  words!"
Sobbing, the bride  said,
"Oh,  Mama..., he used words like: dust, wash, iron,  and  cook...

I'll  pick you up in twenty minutes," said the  mother.

Well it is time to close this post and get off to bed.
I think my daughter Kathy is coming tomorrow so that
will be great as we only see each other 2 or 3 times a
year.  Dairy farms are so restrictive of time away and
holidays.  Take great care of yourselves and each other
my dear friends, until next week, My love and best
wishes  Cheers,  Merle.

Could not help but worry about that baby in traffic:) Surely there was an award of some kind for that commercial.

Now about those four letter words...I didn't know them until I married and they were absolutely shocking to deal with!

Good health wishes to you Merle.

"Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be more positive and power packed with faith, hope, love and action" is a very good advice. Take care, my dear friend, Merle. Love and (((HUGS)))

Hi Merle ~~ I am glad your flowers are doing good. Also am glad that Katy is able to come for a visit.

The babies skating reminded me that I met my first Mrs. Jim at a roller skating rink.
I haven't skated now for several years but still could. I am not sure that my new knee would like it if I fell.
Cheers,
..

I loved your comments about impending and pending!! And the description of your wisteria ending up as a lovely purple carpet. Our mint bushes do that after heavy rain. Ken is always disappointed to see them stripped of their flowers, but I do like the carpet :-)
Oh, I liked the jokes too, but the one about sex was...um, well - I'm an old timer reading emails at the moment. Am I missing something?

Glad to hear your birds enjoyed the bath water. Some very nice flowers to greet you on the bush and as a colorful carpet. Peace
